Why trust us

Made with big-league craft. Checked by a real expert.

The learning

A quiet little curriculum, tucked inside every story.

The classics lasted three thousand years for a reason: they're the best stories anyone ever told. We retell them at a level young children can actually read and love — then we go one step further.

Every Story Trains book is shaped by Beth Richman — Harvard-trained, and one of the researchers behind the work that made Sesame Street into Sesame Street. For two decades she's helped the shows you already trust — Sesame, the Fred Rogers folks, PBS — keep the fun stuff and the good stuff as the same stuff.

Your kid gets a hero, a journey, and a giggle. They'll never once notice they're learning anything.

The makers

Three dads who make TV, and one expert who keeps us honest.

We're 3DadsLabs Studios. Between us we've spent decades making television and movies (and collecting the occasional shiny award). Then we had kids, looked hard at what was on their screens and shelves, and decided to build the thing we couldn't find: stories with real craft and real substance.

Three dads with good instincts is a nice start. But we wanted to be sure. That's why every book goes through Beth before it goes to you.
